| "SCI has so many positives. Most classes have only about 15 people, so it's easy for the professors to get to know you and give you one-on-one attention. And if you need it, academic advisers are there to help. I chose SCI for a lot of reasons. I like the size of the school, and I wanted to play volleyball and live on campus. My area of concentration is pre-medical, and my career goal is to become an optometrist. I really feel like I'm getting a quality education." ― Kim Emerick '06 Tallula, Illinois |
"Being an athlete at SCI has been a terrific experience for me. The coaches treat us with respect and care about us as people, students, and athletes. They stress academics first and push me to be accountable in the classroom. I know I'm benefiting from the teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills that are required to be successful in sports. Those are the very same abilities I'll need for real-world success. I'm proud to play for the Bulldogs, and I know I'm getting a quality education at SCI." ― Chris Venvertloh '05 Springfield, Illinois |
